Cancellations & Changes:
If at all possible, please help us all by calling as soon as you can to change or cancel an appointment so that others can be offered your appointment time. There is often a long waiting list of individuals that come from a far distance who may be glad to take that time with enough advance notice. In any case, we do require at least 48 hrs. notice for cancellations and reserve the right to bill for appointments missed without adequate notification ($50 – $100 depending on time reserved).
Fees & Payment:
Fees are determined by length and complexity of visit.
- Initial visits (up to an hour) generally range from $100 – $350,
- Follow-up visits (up to half an hour) are usually $50 – $200.
- Urgent care visits during Thurs. Walk-In Hour (for single medical problems) are $100.
Oil dispersion bath therapy consultations are $150 (for established patients), Therapeutic baths are $100 for adults, $80 for children.
Scheduled phone consultations (for established patients only, when visits are difficult or not necessary) depend on length of call and range from $50 – $150.
Brief phone contact for questions and follow-up is not billed separately.
Although Dr. Hertle does not accept Medicare or any other insurance, she does automatically charge a reduced fee for consultations with patients who are on Medicare or Medicaid. The goal remains to make it possible for anyone to see her who is serious about working with anthroposophical medicine, and this can be achieved in a variety of ways. Please ask.
Payment is expected and appreciated at the time of the visit in the form of cash or check made payable to the order of Dr. Hertle. Payment by credit or debit card is not possible at this time. Dr. Hertle will, however, be happy to work with patients who would like to make an acceptable payment plan. Please speak with the receptionist to make arrangements for a reasonable, practicable payment plan if needed. A 3% late-payment fee will be applied monthly to all out-standing balances for bills older than 30 days unless specific payment arrangements have been made and adhered to.
You will receive a copy of a handwritten “master bill” at the time of service. If you need an official computer-generated printout with codes necessary for insurance billing (e.g. if you have an insurance that will reimburse you for a paid visit to an “out-of-network” doctor), please address an envelope at the front desk before you leave so it can be mailed to you promptly.
